Notepad ++

This is a text editing and source-code editing tool developed by Windows. The primary difference between Notepad++ and Notepad is that the former allows the user to work with multiple files in a single window and is a lot faster than its older counterpart. Other basic features include drag-and-drop, split screen, zooming and source-code features like auto-completion, bookmarks and syntax highlighting to name a few.

This is often used in the industry to edit XML DITA codes. It is also used along with oXygen XML Editor.
