RoboHelp, as the name suggests, is a Help Authoring Tool (HAT) primarily created for the Windows OS. It is one of the oldest tools used by Technical Writers in creating online help systems. RoboHelp can generate help files in numerous file formats such as Adobe PDF, MS Word, XML, JavaHelp and a whole lot more. Its latest version includes HTML5 outputs with one-click features, customized headers and footers and integration with Cloud storage and Sharepoint.
This tool is used scarcely in the industry. Since there are a lot of maintenance and update issues involved with RoboHelp, many corporations have moved from using RoboHelp to Content Management System and DITA.
